Download and install ChIpInspector 2.1
ChipInspector is
a Java tool which is available for download and
local installation.
- Make sure that Java 1.5 (or higher) is installed
on your computer.
If
Java is not yet installed on your computer,
please click the "Java Get Powered" button
to the right to download and install the latest version
of Java. - You need a Genomatix account to run ChipInspector. If you haven't got an account yet, you can register here to get a free trial account or contact us to get a full license.
- Create a folder on your hard disk where you want to store the installer. If you have set your browser to download files to a default folder, the installer will be downloaded to this default folder.
- Choose your operating system from the table below.
- Click on the "Download" link and save the installer to the created folder.
Download
- Switch to the folder on your hard disk where the installer was saved
- Execute the installer (see below) and follow the instructions
Installation

Windows XP, Vista
doubleclick on the Genomatix install icon in the folder
Vista users: please install the software to your home folder, otherwise software updates will not work!

MacOS X
copy the ChipInspector application from the downloaded disk image to your Applications folder
Please note that ChipInspector will only work on Intel Core2Duo- or Xeon-equipped Macs, as Java 1.6 is only available for these!
